SimulTrans - Analyst

2013

B2B

I was hired by SimulTrans to design and execute a two‑phase German market‑entry strategy that began with direct sales outreach and culminated in a strategic acquisition.

Phase 1: Organic Expansion via Sales & Outreach
I localized SimulTrans’ value proposition for the DACH region, developed German‑language website landing pages, and built a prospect database of mid‑market and enterprise buyers in manufacturing, automotive, software, and life sciences. Over six months we ran targeted cold‑email and LinkedIn campaigns, supported by German sales collateral and training for SimulTrans’ global sales team.

Phase 2: Pivot to Strategic Acquisition
After validating strong market demand but recognizing the slow scale of pure outbound efforts into Germany, I led a market scan and due‑diligence process to identify acquisition targets. In late 2016, SimulTrans acquired a majority interest in Delta International (Bonn, Germany) – a well‑established localization provider with deep expertise in Germany’s manufacturing, chemicals, automotive, and solar sectors.

Deliverables

  • Fully localized German go‑to‑market playbook (positioning, messaging, pricing)

  • Target list of 100+ acquisition candidates and financial models for top prospects

  • Acquisition integration plan covering branding, systems, and cross‑training

Outcome
SimulTrans secured a permanent local presence in Germany – accelerating its European expansion roadmap. Subsequent acquisitions followed a similar roadmap and resulted in further growth across the EU.
